I used to go buy the Miracle Grow applicator jar and pour out the contents and just use the jar for my water soluble delivery system on the patch. One could attach the one end right to the spigot and unscrew the provided nozzle and attach the hose to it. It worked great for applying all my water solubles through the overhead water system. This year someone took it upon themselves to redesign the miracle grow dispenser to some ergonomic yuppy looking thing and no more application system. Is there another device that has the same standard hose size ends (one male, one female)on the cap with a jar that can be screwed on to the bottom that holds watersolubles? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

True Value hardware store has a applicator just like the miracle grow one.Gotta ask what was the volume of say neptune's Fish and seaweed that you would use to delivery the recommended mix of 1 once to 1 gallon of h2o? What about any contavt solution you used with the miracle grow sytem like say orthenex? Just curious of how you gauged solution rates with it ?I know that the application rate of the intended miracle concentration is like a 1 lb. bag of MG to 12-15 minutes of run-time.

Michelle, Ortho make a dial and spray that works great. I actually like it better than the miracle grow applicator. I ran into the same thing and found the dial and spray after I couldn't find the old Miracle grow applicator. Hope this helps.

I use a Dial a spray too but it doesent have a connection for a hose on the outlet. You can look into an easy-flow which is similar to the MG tank just larger. Dripworks has them along with other places.

Dramm makes a siphon jet that sucks fertilizer from what ever container you have it in. Around 20 bucks, solid brass. Ratio is controlled by how much water flow going through the hose. This works excellent

Thank you all for some great suggestion!! I'm going to look at the Dial and Spray and the Dramm unit. I have a True Value hardware just down the street that I'll check out as well. Bumkin, I have always made a 'milkshake' of Hollands's dehydrated seaweed and fish (about 1 cup ea.) along with water-soluble myco and occasionally molasses. I don't do everything every time but keep alternating. I have not been one to measure that carefully but the plants seem very happy and I do Alot of overhead watering because of the intense heat we get. I never use chemical insecticides or fungicides in the overhead system but have applied Bayer 'All in One' at the prescribed rate around the plants using a watering can to control cuke beetles and pm.

Thanks again for some great suggestions!!!
