Last night 37 degrees and scattered frosts. More cold fun predicted for tonight. Pumpkins and gardens in general are in "sleep mode".
WNY guys and gals.. let's hope this is ma nature's grand finale of her " Ice Station Zebra" script.

This year it's our turn! We have had the warmest Spring on record...hit 89° yesterday. I NEVER thought that this would ever happen!

Well the first day of Summer isn't until June 21, I think ole Mother Nature is gonna hold us to it this year temperature wise. We had really beautiful weather at Memorial Day and that's been it so far this season. Really nice warm 60 plus degrees during the day but not good pumpkin growing weather. Saturday looks really nice here with a high of 75. Now between the winds, and cold temps I'm ready for Summer and opening the pool. We're even late doing that this year, too cold to go swimming just yet.

The last two nights we had frost,it sucks,I know, but still im happy, last year at this point in the season we got about four inches of rain, need less to say the patch was under water,The plants shut down for some time!I can handle frost, but rain I cannot!

You should be growing fair plants in the cold. Only getting 1 inch cir.growth on pumpkins now day 11. At this pace it will be lucky to weigh 250 pounds.

Careful, Stan, predictions are for more normal upper 60s and lower 70s the next week.
