I went into the mens room at work yesterday to relieve myself, and low and behold what should I spy but a bug drowning in the urinal. As I was relieving myself the bug managed to turn itself over and I realized it was none other than a cuke beetle. Needless to say I felt no remorse for having let the little guy know precisely what I thought of him and flushed him away. Is this an omen? Good or bad?

I found a real horseshoe in the mushroom soil that was delivered this spring. Now that is an omen. I put it by the 1343 Lyons for good luck. That dead horse is gonna help make my pumpkins big.

Believe me when I say I would much rather find a horseshoe in my compost than a cuke beetle in the pi**er!

Cucumber beetles seek out many kinds of plants--cucumbers, squash, pkns, peppers......maybe this one was looking for pea ?
