wow i havent had this issue before 2 of my 3 plants have developed a major split running up and down on the main stump area... is this caused by growth spurt or am i missing something. One of them is so bad it has completely opened up and looks like a one sided stump, the plants are doing very well but this has me stumped, any help?

Put some sulfur powerd on the spilt and let it be. I grew an 1154.8 pounder last year with my stump split from the ground level to one foot out. lenght wide splits are ok.

This happened to me 2 years ago. The 2 experienced growers I called also mentioned the sulfur. However, they both said to mix it with water to get a "toothpaste" texture and then apply.
I hope it works.

thanks fellas, I did clean it with a bleach solution and applied captan powder along with a fan to help dry it, hope it pulls thru.

I have had em before Michelle, I think mine was from the stump having a little strain on it from the end of the main being a little heavy that hasnt quite hit the ground yet.
