Got my first brew going this morning. Worm castings, molasses and fish emulsion and about 15 gallons of day old water brewing in a 55 gal plastic drum. Got good turbulence out of the pump. I'm new to this and my question is how much tea can be applied to my plants (they just shot the 3rd leaf) and what circumference of the plant base. Thanks in advance! Maurice Skoch, Topeka, KS

Maurice, I have been told you CAN'T over apply tea. I would give each plant a gallon or so, then do a soil drench all over your patch and seveal feet or so around your each plant. 55 Gallon is ALOT of tea. I had the same problem, because my barrell is 55 gallons. So I learn to fill it only half way and make 15 to 20 Gallons.

just be sure the brew is ready before applying to the plant and soil. a browm froth or foam should form ( from the air bubbles ) atop the brew when its complete. --- this is dependent of course on the amount of air being injected into the tea. to little air injected and not only will you not get foam but your tea may not be as beneficial as it could have been with proper system? the microbials need air to grow inside the tank. no restrictions on application rates. spray it on plant until runoff. also you can drench the soil several ft around the base of the plant with the leftover.----great on plants around the yard as well.
