I bought some Atlantic Giant seeds. I got my Hubbard Squash planting started yesterday. I grew only 134 pounds of those last year, but think this year I should get a good crop. The Pumpkins will go in a different garden.

Also I am looking for a friend who disappeared from TOFA some time ago, and also used to come to this site. The friend went by the name Pumpkin Doug. Pumpkin Doug,,,,if you are on here, please let me know!!

Did you bye those seeds from the hardware store. I have about 6 seeds that I don't need, I'll cover shipping and envelope if you want, I just need your address. The seeds I could send you are alot better (better genetics, capable of growing biggerer) than the ones you buy at the local store. [email protected]

Thanks for the offer Richard B.
It would have been nice to get the seeds, but I think I'll make out ok with what I have anyway.
I'm not going to enter any contests or anything, I just want to grow some big Pumpkins!:-)
I'll probably get hooked though!
I know I got hooked on my Hubbard Squashes after only one year of growing them,,,,and a bad year for gardens at that!
The Hubbard Squash did well despite a nasty late frost that killed my corn and tomatoes, being choked out by weeds as I couldn't keep up with weeding them very well due to my bad back (which is much better this year), and best of all the grasshoppers didn't bother them much!
I have been plagued worse every year by the grasshoppers, til this year!
I must have killed enough of them last year to finally get them under control!
