Special thanks to Ned Sandercock. He read of my misfortunes and offered me some plants. I took a trip out to Honesdale and met him at his house, where he gave me three pumpkin plants and a germinating long gourd seed. I now have my patch full. Now I can get to work on my wifes vegetables!!!

I wasthere in the woods with a jar of SVBs and another filled with cucumber beetles. I stayed under cover until you left, then let the suckers fly. I have to do everything I can to beat this Ned guy. I am sure he is already devastated with the infestation.

Seriously, how was he doing withhis plants? He wont tell me the truth, so I need to ask an oustider! Ned is an awesome fella, you do have that right! While we (Ned and I) kid around alot, Ned would do anything to help out a fellow grower, even me!

No problem Nick. I hope that they do well for you. It was good to chat pumpkins with you and Beth. Don't worry about Rockys infestation as the plants already had a coating of Talstar on them. I knew that Rocky was hiding in the woods and would plan something like this as my security camera had it all caught on film. You really could have kept some clothes on Rock.... got that was an ugly sight.

Acually Rock, you can sleep well, his plants were all withered up and moldy. I think I actually smelt them as we were nearing the patch. I did not want to say anything though. I did not want to insult him. As for the cucumber beetles, a few must have gotten out of your jar and into my car. I had mentioned to Ned that I had to spray when I got home because I had seen a couple in the morning. When I got home and went down to spray, they had already made a good meal of my 1311 Companion. They left all the others alone though. The funny part is that when I saw them earlier, they were near a different plant. I think that even though the plant now looks like swiss cheese, It should still hang on. I applied some spray, so we will see what happens.
