I am, and always do at least one of my own. If you don't have faith that the crosses you've made can be productive why would you expect anyone else to? Besides, I think there may be something to the genetics adapting to the environment they are being grown in. I seem to often produce my best pumpkins from my own seeds even when growing them side by side with other "proven" seed stocks.

Growing my 770. If you don't grow it then you will never know what it could turn into. Might have a great grower and it is always nice to know that you have a hundred or so more of the seeds in storage.

I have our 695 from 08 growing and a few others as back ups. Trying our own crosses are what keeps our interest, kind of like a big old science experiment.

Jane & I are growing the 1156, 1269 & 901 this year. Our 1156 & 1269 are amazing so far. Both are down & running @ 2'+. Not bad considering all the cold frosty nights we're getting. We hope that all the people that are growing our seeds are having a good start as well. Good luck all.

Now that I lost my all stars to Sayre Corn Maggots I will be giving at least one of my seeds the best spot in my main patch. I like it Rock! I should be putting the backups in any day now so watch out.

Wow, a true "Sandercock vs Rockwell" matchup with our own seeds! This makes for an even more challenging weigh off this year! Next year I will grow a Sandercock and you a Rockwell seed!

once you get established and have something promicing grown in your patch you would be a fool not to plant a large percentage of your own seed stocks.
i cant expect others to grow our seeds if we dont grow them as well.

I'm growing the 1067.5 Box. Rocky, wake up I think you're dreaming! It's time to go home from work anyway. I predict a Sandercock will grow a 1/2 tonner this year. Ned has at least a dozen plants spread out N.E. Pa! Rock, Manny sent me the rest of his steroids if you want to try them!

I'm cautiously optimistic, no maggots, wind, hail,a little frost nothing too bad, knock on wood! Hope you and Ned get that monkey off your backs. Maybe you could each grow a 1067.00 pounder, that would make me happy! Good luck this year and try to get up to the Dyberry patch. [email protected]
