What are some plants out there that you wanted to grow this season that you are now second guessing yourself about for not growing? Not just the plants that didn't germinate for you but also ones you wish would have at least gave em a try. Anyone have a few they want to mention? I know I have a few.
One plant I really wanted to grow, but didn't, was the 1436 Nesbitt, reason I didn't is because I just plain had a brain fart and forgot about it some how ,,,lol, there is just so many plants to choose from to keep in your memory bank now a days that you just plain forget about them unless your write them down( And I forgot to write this one down,,,ha!). I know the 1436 had multiple pollinators, and all the pollinators he used has some great potential by the way, but if you heard the rumor on the 1436 and how big this pumpkin grew so fast early in the season, it just makes you want to give it a run, the stem was enormous on this pumpkin as well. The 1436 plant could be another 914 Wentzell seed, like back in the day when it grew the biggest pumpkins around for a few years in a row, it also had multiple pollinators. Another plant I wish I would have planted was the 1689 Jutras, why I didn't plant this seed I also have no idea! LOL. But looking back now I really wish I would have grown it! But there is always next year I guess! Ha!
The other seeds I wish I had growing right now was my 998 Pukos, 805 Pukos and the 1350 Starr, they are the only seeds that did not germinate for me this year.

940 Mombert 00...I opted for the 603.5 Muller instead. I may give the 940 a try next season, as it's an older seed.

1147 Shenoha 08 (1041 Mckie x self), this seed showed the most vigor out of the germination chamber and is still a vigorous little seedling. I only have room for one decent plant and was set on growing my one and only 1250 Kline seed, though Jeff sent me five of his 1147's. So unless something happens to the 1250 between now and June 1, I'll give the seedling away. I'm really considering growing the 1147 next year.

1446 Werner, and 1156 Hunt. I tried, that 1446 never got the grow on, and the 1156, two went toast. 275 Van Hook, squirrelmunch. Glad the yardboys helped make the squirrel into compost material(wherever they buried that used squirrel brunch to compost)

810 McInnis (96). Tried to germinate the 2 that I got from another grower, no luck. Did everything possible with them, no sign of life after 16 days. Will try to track some more down later this yr.

Was very tempted to grow the 1098 Picketts ( thanks Danny ) 1219 Colbert(1068 Wallace x 842 Eaton) x 723 Bobier. Grew the largest pumpkin in Eastern Canada last season.

I planted a 1269 Hunt seed but the bugger never germinated. Two weeks after planting it I took the pot out to my patch, pulled the seed out and then used the soil in the pot to help support the stem of my 1566 Rodonis. Today, about four weeks after I planted the 1269, I looked down and between the slats of a pallet that I use to stand on when working on my plant a little three leaf pumpkin plant was growing. This is the first year anything has ever been grown in this patch outside of weeds. The plant has to be the 1269. I dug it up and put it in a pot. I'm probably going to give it away since it is too far behind for me to use it now.

I'm already afraid of all the plants we did put in the ground! It seems the more you have, the harder the decision! I wanted a good Carlson/Peterson 1086 squash, but two seeds didn't germinate. Also wanted to grow several of Quinn's seeds, but settled on just one, the 985. We also eliminated one of my own to grow a 1168 Conley, but it will be the best plant in the patch, Buddy willing!
