Just was wondering if anyone knows the best time to write on a fruit and how deep? I know what the hell are ya thinking?? If I were to guess I would say around 350 to 400 lbs. I would like to pick one of my five plants out to write the names of so very special kids, any help would be great. Anyone know a pro at this hook me up please.. Thanks Steve

Steve we use a sharp instrument. Scratch the surface with the impression you want to make. Remember you can't get fine detail as it is going to be blown up, alot in the end. Treat with a good fungicide and allow the sun to cure it.

Ive done this the last 2 years for my kids Steve, although never with an AG. We use a knike to carve the name out of the skin and it scars over,, I do it when the skin is still soft,,

I write the names on Prizewinners.....mid-August.
I use a large size nail. First, just lightly put the name on. Then go back over the lines going just through the skin. Straight lines are easy. Curves are harder. Go slooooow!! I make double-lined letters to show up better. Give a light spray of alcohol water. That's it.
The kids totally love it!
