I may be worrying about nothing here but my 4 plants are at the 5-6 leaf stage and from my past 2 years, the plants leaves do not look as green as those past 2 years.
They are lighter in color.
I did not get a soil test done so hard to say exactly what i may be lacking in my dirt.
Could this be due to anything else also like temps in hoops or ventilation?
Should i be worried about this or should i feed them nitrogen or maybe just leave them alone and let them grow?
Thanks

What have the temps been in your area the last week? That can play a part.

It's been too cool & cloudy up your way.
The plants are suffering from a chlorophyll deficiency. Do nothing.

this past whole week has been sunny and 70-80 degrees outside, and obviously warmer in the partly opend hoops.

There is also a variance in the color of different pumpkin crosses and also in shapes of the leaves. If the plants are growing well have no worries. Ours are always light green this time of year. Many of our past crosses also produce very yellow vines which have thrown a grower or two off in the past. You can post pics for folks to look at, but I am guessing you are fine.

Yep, 1009 Young 07, neon sickly yellow vines, nice green leaves, really pretty looking pumpkins.... :)

I'm not suggesting there can't be a valid nutrient deficiency, but we should not over react to the washed out color until a few warm sunny days in upstate NY. Jeremy has had sun so maybe the huts haven't been opened enough.

yup, maybe it is time to modify the plastic on top and open that up too instead of just the ends like now.

I have had this many times it is almost always due to lack of sun. I use a low dose of miricle grow and wait it out. As soon as I get 3 or 4 days of nice sunshine they bounce right back.
