When I put my 2nd plant out I was unprepared and wasn’t going to make the hoophouse until after I got home from work that evening. I saw no problem, it was suppose to be overcast but in the high 60s. Unfortunately, a storm rolled in with wicked harsh winds and rain, so I expected the worst when I got home.

However, my wife had stayed home that day and when she saw the weather was going to turn, she ran out and fashioned a makeshift cloche. She used plastic, 2 little plastic trellises, a white lawn chair, a large tupperware bin, some rocks and a lot of duct tape. She saved my plant and was so proud. So, I’m pretty proud of her. She weeds too.

Although I'm very grateful that my wife puts up with my pumpkin growing (she is a great women) I'm going to forward this one to her to let her know that there is a next level. Congrats to you Craig! Buy her some roses if she likes roses.
