I’ve read that neem oil kills insects by giving off hormones that make them forget to eat and reproduce. Would it be ok to use the same sprayer for neem oil that I would use for biologicals like compost tea? Could any trace of those hormones negatively effect the beneficial bacteria?

If you use neem oil spray at 1/2 the recommendation and only on cloudy days. It can burn your plants. Neem oil also prevents Powdery Mildew.

Pumpkin,
I am using neem oil exclusively in a small ($4.95) sprayer. I don't know about what would happen if you mixed neem oil with compost tea. It is not woth the risk for me.
Linus is correct. Neem oil can burn leaves. I apply it in the evening.
Good luck.
