to it to kill a seed? I put my seeds in the soak water in the germination cooler with the heat mat and came back less than a half hour later and the water was 100 degrees! (actually less because I used a standard thermometer in the water, not a meat one so it was measuring ambient temp mostly which is higher).I got the temp under control and put them in pots and overnight it turns out they were in about 95 degrees (again, with the bottom of a thermometer in the pot mix, so It will actually be lower). Would this have killed my seeds?

100 won't kill them too fast. I've had seeds at 100 for a day come up OK.

I started some seeds this year. They were from 2005. I soak them in a two liter bottle of water and ferts. I leave them in direct sun. They got real hot. The water may have kept them cool. Things got busy, and I left them in for a week. Many did not sprout. Many did. The cots are huge and dark green. They are tough. They went into the ground yesterday. Plant them, worry about other things.
