A 55 gallon barrel welded shut will lift about 500#... luck in rigging yourself a pontoon planter.

Hoping you and the patch can hang in there.

Wow! Lots of rain. We've been fortunate in not getting that much, in fact, we could use some. I'm behind in patch prep, so no rain til after I get my hoop houses up and plants in the dirt. After that, then, yes rain.

Hope you have a dryer season, and good luck.

Rain here since last Wednesday. We live on the Cumberland River and its rising as I type. Yesterday at 5pm it was at just over 8 feet, right now at 930am its at 18feet. Flood stage is 21ft..Man the water sure moves. Fortunately the patch is way up in the field, town would have to flood to get the patch. Good luck Burrhead. Croley

Yep, even here in the desert, I've got way too much rain. No sunshine... terrible.

I'm terribly behind this season because of the rain. I'm planning on going out right after I'm done typing this to add the rest of my ammendments and give it a light till.

I feel your pain Keith. I took last Friday off, as did Dr. Bob, to plant. At 5:00 AM, I could hear the rain pounding. I delivered a plant to Dr. Bob and lo and behold!, the sun came out. Needless to say we wasted no time planting, even if it WAS in the mud. It seems that, lately, the rain is going just south of us.

Burrhead, it sounds like you are having the weather we had last year. Cold, rainy and floods until July. But hang in there, I grew my personal best last year. Hopefully it will straighten out soon.

Well, to answer your question, no. I don't think anyone her knows how to build an ark. Besides, the instructions are a roughly 5000 years old and I think gopher wood is extinct. Hang in there, it shouldn't come to that anyway. Come August you'll probably be praying for a little of this water.

Suspossed to rain all week but im putting plants in the ground tonight. Id rather plant now then keep them in pots any longer. All my plants have been up since last Wednesday and not really sure if I should wait till this weekend when its sussposed to dry up a bit or plant in the mud..Tough decision
