Considering you have it out and ready to go, how long until you can put your plant in it after it germinates?

I put mine in the ground today, 5 days after soaking the seeds.

Might as well put them in Sam. You will need to watch the weather and put up a cold frame. PA can still have plenty of nights with frost.

Sam, There are two main things you are aiming for prior to transplant to the patch:
1: The 1st true leaf start to show so you can tell which way the main will drop.
2: Harden off the seedling, you don't want to take that seedling right out of it's warm home and throw it out in the patch on those cold nights and really bright sunny days. you should expose it to those conditions for increasing periods each day for proper hardening.
Jeremy, All depends how cold it is getting at night, I go by the low 40's rule. If it get below 40 then i get worried. you don't have to run power to them, you can put a bucket of water in there, bottled water, a bunch of rocks, which will absorb the heat of the day and release it at night.

Jeremy, If you already have power ran out to the patch you might as well have a heat lamp or heater on standby in case it is going to get really cold at night.
