Hi all,

Just had a few beers, and was thinking, has anyone ever crossed a Giant Marrow (C.Pepo), with a Jacko'lantern Pumpkin (also C.Pepo), and then perhaps backcrossed to achieve a Giant version of a C.Pepo pumpkin?

Honestly I like Maximas better, as they have more sturdy flesh, harder skin, and last better off the vine, so I have no intention to develop a new gaint pumpkin for competition. More just scientific curiosity/novelty.

Dude you crack me up! Some of my best and most of my worst ideas were had 'after a few beers' lol.
Why not do the cross? It would be fun to see the fruit of the F1.

Well, one grower seems to have succeeded in growing such monsters. Rather long shape, but decent color and ribbing.
