I need some advise on the subject. I read a post earlier that said if you had root rot last year that your garden soil will be infected the following year and more than likely i will have it again. Is this true?
This has really got me worried because of all the work i put into my garden at fall time. Last year was my first year growing these AG's.
Any advise anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Some pathogens like pithium can be difficult or impossible to eliminate, but there are things you can do to live with them. Im my situation (silty soil with a seasonal high water table)last year I dug drainage ditches and used Alliette. It helped, I went from no pumpkins to a personal best. I am rotating my planting area this year and may try some biological control from Extreme Pumpkins if I can scrape up a few extra bucks.

Thanks Iowegian,
So you think i can live with this? I have some good seeds i bought this year on actions that i want to grow but if they are going to get infected don't want to grow them here. Is it possible to spray something on it through the season to keep it at bay? if so what?
