I know most fungicide/insecticides are only good for 2-4 years in their liquid form. What about Merit and Compass that are powder form. The must have a longer shelf life since they are not pre-mixed. Anyone know the answer?

I was told Merit sealed from the environment (read moisture) was 3-4 years. The way I bought it was four smaller packets in one big bag, so at a packet a year that's four years. ... I got grubs to nuke under the soil surface this spring so I will be able to tell if the open packet from last season (sealed in burped freezer baggie) is any good, soon.

There is a forum here for insect & disease questions but...
Modern flowable pesticides last for MANY years if stored properly. EC (emulsifiable concentrates) can be stored in their original packages for decades. WP (wettable powders) last forever as long as they don't get wet.
Merit 75WP & Compass will never go bad if they're stored correctly. Neither can even freeze so their WP form is very practicle for folks.

Thanks, Steve. I posted on General Discussion for fear no one is looking at the I & D board this time of year.
