Subject:  Vine burying

What is the preferred method? Digging a trench to put the vine in (if so how deep) or leaving the vine on top of the ground and covering it with soil?

Hoot, Ileave mine on top and cover with about 3" of soil. I do not bury the main

hoots every year I trench more and more.I used to cover with dirt.Trenching helps lock the plant down better for wind protection.2 to 3 inches deep is sufficient
