I know that Plant selection, has brought AGs to where they are today,,,. Do AGs lose genes? Would it be helpful to mix monster plant pollen/pistil,with old plant pollen/pistil? Are there older plant strains, that have better plant strength qualities?

These are called mutations and even the old plants can have these. We see mutations today in flat vine, seeds in the flower, and other such deformities. If mutations occur it is usually noticeable and the plant is taken out to keep bad genes out of the competitive lines.
