I was asked an interesting question that I'd like to post on the website, for the benefit of those who've been run off it.
Think back to high school. What was it like? You had the so called "popular" crowd that ran the school and you had everyone else. Who were what? Open to be insulted, made fun of, attacked and beat-up and run out of the neighborhood and school. As often, just for sport. Just because members of the popular crowd could.
Am I the first to be insulted, made fun of, attacked and beat-up by the popular crowd who run the site? No. Will I be the last? I doubt it.
It's just normal group behavior, when and wherever people get together and form a group or organization. Even church. It's just life and people, that in one you're a member of the popular crowd and in another, you're the same as a nerd or a plus size girl in high school.
However, when I read them being referred to as "little punks" by someone very high up? His funny joke to me? He had to grow a giant pumpkin. But with as much time as they spend thinking about me, I'm all ready famous!
But don't worry, now I understand why they don't post their diaries and come on and really answer "little punks" questions. You'll find me to be the same way from now on too.
There's an old saying, give a fool enough rope and he hangs himself with it. Do it long enough and you eventually do it to the wrong person. I don't know what "little punks" did to him. He came on as pumpkin pop to hide his identity and got attacked too? His mother did? Or maybe he's just an all round and for real nice and caring guy who doesn't reward hypocrites.
All I know, I'd respect I'm not qualified to call anyone an idiot or a bozo in the growing world, whose minding their own business on their own posts. Humble to the fact, but there sure are those very qualified to call me a "little punk" in the growing world for doing so.
I just looked at the replies to my post

High School? That sounds familiar. I remember having a twelve gauge under the seat of my car and to get to school I drove through an area that was loaded with pheasants. I'd spot one or two crossing the road and it was on baby, screw homeroom!

That was the seventies GGP. The good old days when you could go to school with a hunting rifle in the car and it was perfectly normal. This country has been dissolving into a pillar of s--t ever since. I blame my generation and those that followed for bad decisions and bad parenting.

My high school had a disignated crying room for the students with babys, under cover cops in the lunch room, I used to wonder if half my grade was based on just showing up to class. It was'nt located in a high end part of town.

As a demonstration exercise in eighth grade English class, I took in a Remington 870 shotgun and demonstrated the break-down and cleaning process. Pretty useful information back then. I carried it down the hallway and was never questioned.
Keep in mind that I attended what was considered a country school at the time. It is now the largest district in the county. How times have changed.

Jack, You are bringing this on yourself, you have tried to instigate in just about every thread you have posted on this website. I’m in high school and have not broken any records, but you don’t see people bashing me, if you are decent people won’t bug you. I think the people on this website and the whole AG community in general are great people who help out to the best of their ability, we just get edgy when people try to start things, which is exactly what you are doing. I’m going to have to agree with Brooks, most people in high school have groups they fit into now days, maybe you just don’t fit in because we have time for these kinds of things here, try Bigtomatoes.com lol.

I would not have got away with a gun at school for demonstration talk but I did do one on how to make home brew beer, a fair bit of lunch time sampling took place that day and yet again I was on detention.

Growing up in Utah, we actually had "deer hunt days". These were official holidays from school at the start of the deer hunt season. I guess they figured that closing school for a couple of days was better than having all the boys playing hookie and going deer hunting.
There are still a few rural districts in Idaho where they close school for a week in the fall for "spud harvest".
