Seizures can be controlled Wayne. They will probably put your mother on Depakote or Neurontin. If you need to ask any questions Wayne, feel free to e-mail me. My wife has had hundreds of them in her life time.

Thanks to all for kind words, thoughts, and prayers. As of this time mom is coherent, alert, and a lil grumpy!!! She is still in hospital for at least one more night while they try and stabilize her blood sugar. No one is saying what caused seizures, and blood sugar irregularities (40's to over 260). She is diabetic, but for years no major irregularities in blood sugar readings. Once again, thanks to all!!! Peace, Wayne

Hey all, mom is home, a little weak but doing fine. Still no answers as to what caused this episode. That is the irritation at this point, no answers. The doctor in the hospital said she did NOT have a seizure, but I was there, and she DID. The discharge nurse said they won't know whether she did or did not, until the ekg is read (2 or 3 days)...they had her on Depakote while in the hospital, but no script written for her to continue it??? I am so confused, but I stay that way most of the time!!!
