I think everyone tries to make a original cross's, but who is some growers out there you think has made some great cross's that haven't seen dirt very much or not at all yet?

One name comes to mind is Vanhooks cross's, he has a lot of em that hasn't been put to the test yet.

I agree with you on the VanHooks Brooks.
Glenn Andrews comes to mind as well. He has a number of great color crosses IMO, and others that should have good size potential. I like a lot of his cross choices.

Brett Hester is another one that does alot of original cross's that look really good on paper.

Eddy Z. is another one with some very interesting crosses, using the 898, 705, etc.

I'll second the Vanhook nomination and Zaychkowsky nomination. Great crosses out of those patches. I've also got to tip the hat to Thad Starr. The 1350 should have seen more dirt to this point.

I think you will see alot more growers growing that 1350 this year, alot of growers I know is planting it.

I think Eddy Z, Tom Beachy and Brett Hester have made some interesting crosses over the years that haven't been planted much.

Nic Welty has some really unique seeds with a lot of old school Stellpflug and Gancarz squash genes. He also crossed a clone of the Clarence Koch's 801 Stelts plant with the 1337 Houghton. That seed deserves to see more dirt.

I hope the Van Hooks crosses get planted...He has been more then generous in his offerings...I know I'll never get a first year out HH seed but the crosses offered are already a year down the line of what I would have done if I could get them...Thanks to all for keeping us secondaries going!
