I've gotten a few requests for seeds from Germany this offseason. I've just been putting the correct first class postage on the bubble and putting it in the mailbox. Are any of these seeds making it to their destination, or are the German Duty agents gettin' a bunch of pumpkin seeds to snack on? If anyone knows the proper way to ship bubbles to Germany, I'd like to hear. Thanks

Take the bubble and customs form to the post office and get it weighed and then send it, works better for us here in Canada that way.

Yes,

I just sent out two to Germany yesterday. Anything going out of the country needs a customs slip filled out, if you want it to have its best chance to make it to its final destination without inspections or delay. I have had 100% delivery. Let the post office figure the postage, each country is a bit different on rates. Its a pain but well worth it for our out of US friends. I specify on the customers slip cucurbita maximus, pumpkin supplies, gift, 0 value. Never had a problem this way.

Yep, IF you put the customers slip, remember to mark it like Wiz said... And always value as 0 bucks. If yo usend something else than pumpkin seeds, like corn or sunflower seeds, please still mark them as cucurbita maximus, or just pkn growing suplies etc;)

Bodene,

I too had a request for my seeds from Germany.(It was from a fellow "orange" grower).

LilPatch and The Wiz are correct. I took the bubble to the post office and filled out an easy customs form. Put $0.00 for value. The postage from here in California was only $2.00.

The grower from Germany e-mailed me and let me know the seeds arrived OK.

Attention Importantly.
Mark which is it a present ((x)gift)!!
But the German Grower, duty must pay.
It also happens that the duty the Bubble opens, or sticks for very much for a long time.
