A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort od house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove...but the world may be different bscause I was inportant in someones life.

You are right Sam, just take it one step further. Tell them what Jesus did for them on the cross. Make a big mark in someones life. John 3:16

We start to contemplate these things as we age. It makes me think of the movie. Planes, trains and automobiles when John Candy's charactor talks about his only legacy will be some shower curtain rings.lol. I'm new at this giant fruit growing thing but maybe its our way of wanting to leave a legacy. you will forever be able to search Wallace, Pukos and Jutras, Stelts, Lovelace and you will be remembered for something. We are a bit insane but I think you folks are awesome.

My life is better and richer because of all my friends in here. I would have gone nuts at work without my morning chat buddies, not to mention all other ways you have affected to my life.
Life is not all about buns, it is also washing dishes ;) You´re all just great, Elf-Man and the gang ;)
Thanks for all my friends in here. Life wouldn´t be the same without any of you...

Great post, Sam. I am very thankful for my beautiful wife and daughter and want to enjoy all the time we have together. It's important to thank GOD each and every day for allowing us to wake up again. Every morning is a blessing, because there's no guarantee of another day. We're all "just passing through".

auburnsky touched on something that brought back some child hood memories. my parents used to make me say a prayer. that went something like "now i lay me down to sleep if i die before i wake i pray to thee my soul to keep" i don't remember the exact wording. if this is wrong please correct me. that was great sambo.

Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.
