we have 1,100 gallon tanks at school with bass in one and tilapia in the other. to help clean them we use settling tanks to clean out the poo would the sludge thats left in the tank be good for my pumpkin.

I knew some farmers who did that, but they had a problem with racoons. lol

My wife uses it on house plants from our fish tank and she swares by it.

ammonia might be a little high, not sure how that will affect things. probably shouldn't be a problem, as there are good aquaponic systems out there

id probably use it but only after mixing for a year in my compost pile id be afraid of disease

I've been using pond goo for some time as garden stuff... yes compost then use, treat as chicken manure...

I water from my pond all the time. With no problems. If your worried about ammonia, nitrates, etc. Test the water. If these levels were out of wack your fish would be dead. Any filter sludge compost.

Captain, all,
Your post got me to rememberin... I use fish frequently. The last few years we've had trouble with skunks. One summer night last year I mixed up some fish and sprayed it various places. The next morning, a skunk had dug up the soil in exactly every place I sprayed, including near the base of several plants.
After that, I was afraid to use it much for several weeks..........
