|
do any of you guys or gals have any suggestions i getting the ones for 6 squar feet, i was hopeing that it would be enough to heat my min-greenhouse 6'x8'x5' or should i put halogen lights in there as well. i would like to have the house going by febuary.

Soil heating cables will not heat your greenhouse. 48' long soil heating cables will cover about 20 square feet as they should be looped about 6" apart and will only warm the soil. Try two 48' soil heating cables placed 6" deep to warm the soil and the halogen lights to warm the air. You may also need a space heater if it is really cold out.

My question of february is this..When do you actually plan on planting. Heating the soil to far in advance is a waste.
