For Stem Splits I just paint a little Daconil on them and also Spray a little bleach solution on them. Fruit Splits I dont know once there split I think alls you can do is caulk them and move on.

BPD..I had a stem split last year that I thought was going to end my year on that fruit. It extended 4 inches up the stem....on both sides...and then progressed 3 inches into the shoulder of the fruit. I used a bulb syringe and blew dry captan into the wound..then I set up a fan on it for the next 3 weeks. It scarred up and never was an issue again. It was on the fruit that ended up being my PB 1246 lbs. Dont give up on a stem split...the thickness of the shoulders can be as much as 10 inches thick. As long as you keep it dry and dust with a fungicide you have a shot at saving what might otherwise seem like a fruit that is destined to go down. BUT...sometimes they do go down ..my point is that stem splits aren't always the end of the season. Mark
