I'm looking for a decent backpack sprayer but don't know if I should go with a piston type sprayer or a diaphragm?
I was looking at the Solo brand. I want to spray wettable powders and liquids. Any suggestions.
Thanks Bob

we've got a solo backpack sprayer and this will be the 3rd year we've been using it the model # is worn off but i can say it's been well worth the money we bought a 2nd backpack sprayer that looked a lot like the solo but the straps don't adjust as easy and aren't as comfortable and it takes a lot more pump action to keep a good spray going a tip to keep your sprayer from plugging an old t shirt in the filling hole keeps those big chunks from plugging it or if you've got a friend that paints they get those disposable paint filters for spray guns and they work nice as well

Shurflo back pack sprayers cost about 160...use the same systems as standars 4 wheeler sprayers and a recharchable battery. Great buy wouldnt pump again. Its just like a Vans farm sprayer with out having to use a cart. You can Mist spray or jetstream all with a twist. Good Buy I used it for 8 plants last year and about 50 maters.

I would buy the piston type as we have used both types on the farm and the diphram typr when they wear out are just about impossible to change the pison is just a few O rings and it as good as new again.
