Thanks out to you and James both. That 907 you sent me grew the prettiest pumpkin I could ever have wanted. It would've gone big had I not rotted the stump on it. Your diaries are second none on BP. You guys have a blessed holiday and I'll see you at the Indy fair if not before. Jeff Z

I agree Bodene. That pumpkin you grew off the 907 was one of the prettiest I've seen. Excellent shape! I think the seeds out of that one could produce some beauties.

I will add to that, John, your generosity to our club seedbank was enormous. I get to decide who gets what for 2009 yet, and I know a number of yours will see dirt. And I stand a very good chance of getting my heinie tarred because of that! (I'll be proud and cry in my towel and still be proud if that happens, honest). Thank you very much, sincerely, for giving the 'growing Big Orange Things' a major boost up here in the end of the OK panhandle.

John and Jim are some of the nicest fellas I know. I've visited them twice in good ol' Kentuck ridin' shotgun with burrhead and their family and them are always welcoming. Some of the best crosses going are made by them 2. This is a good post. Giving credit where credit is due is always good to see.

I gotta kick it up a notch here....Jason pretty much nailed it!!! John's da MAN!!! and James' got his back!!! The first bubblie I got from those guys, I had to haul to my house in a wheelbarrow!!! LOL John knows how to cross em...and James knows how to grow em!!! (With John, kickin him along)!! LOL This time last year, James had a 8' long 1450, growin in his basement!!! These are a pair of brothers to watch out for!!! 1st and 2nd place, at Indy Fair this year, (I think) were from the 275 VanHook,(Mudd and VanHook), both over 1K#, 1st place at Bear Wallow Farms this year (1216 Burton) was grown from the 323 Van Hook...1394 Burton, the largest pkn ever weighed in the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky...was from the 275 VanHook (I think)!!! Well enough of me pumpin up the KPM!!! LOL Peace, Wayne PS...James is a dedicated, and proud member of the incredible folks, who have offered their lives, for the freedoms we have today!!! He is a true HERO!!!
