Okay, with all that said in the earlier thread, I must ask another question.. Does anyone know if there was one spcific pumpkin, way back when, that was the first true atlantic giant produced by the Dills?

Good topic Brett, I hope that Danny chimes in with some more details on his Dad's breeding program back in the day. I read somewhere that Howard was crossing pumpkins and squash and that was how he evolved the Atlantic Giant as we know it today.

While not a record itself, Howard's 287 Dill '77 was certainly a precurcor to todays lines.
