Learn to lift with your legs rather than your back. In time this problem can become quite serious but if you learn to lift properly it'll be OK.

I have this also Jess in my lower back. Tremor is right. Look after it and lift properly, it should settle down in time. Good luck

I used to lift wrong all the time. Squat down with one of your feets a few inches ahead of your other one, tense your stomach, now your butt, grab what your lifting, now with your legs only lift, make sure you have a tight grip.

Big Jess.....Having had two lumbar back surgerys for herniated disks, I can tell you everything that you don't want to know.
The Dept. of Labor and Industries in the State of Washington will tell you that nearly 60% of all their "sick leave" pay is for back problems. Soooo....join the millions of Americans with back problems.
I believe that many back problems are caused by genetic reasons. You will likely be "nursing" your back for the rest of your life. Avoid surgery until you cannot stand the pain any longer....I lasted over ten years! You will be told not to lift anything over 25# for the rest of your life....I didn't obey, so in five years, I had a second surgery....I'm still not obeying....One cannot if you are a serious AG grower.....and are determined not to live the life of a whimp!

I also heard that many of the people with back problems had very weak stomachs, this contributed to there back giving out. A stomach exercise or two regularly might help.
