hi there. i would like to know if master gardeners can particape in the pumpkin growing contests?

Sure why not. You'll find giant pumpkin growers are extremely knowledgeable. Most of them could be master gardeners with the knowledge they hold.

master gardners have a good background for growing AG's and can be very competive early on if they learn the special skills related to these freaks
(I've been an mg for over 15 years)

I agree with Big Kahuna...but also I dont think there is no such thing as a master gardener but a degree.

Brig, I'm with you on this one....while the master gardener program is great for those retirees or others that have the time and effort to volunteer, it is no match for a hard earned degree in agriculture, botany or other related dicipline.

yes i was at the harry and david wheigh off. i took 10th. with my 388lb pumpkin. i tried to email you at your website but couldn't get through. i wanted to ask you what the white stuff was around your seedlings. i was looking through some of the locals diaries.
