July 22.....wow, i can see the beers being raised in honor of Howard now.

I think that a group like the GPC could do something with this.

I have already circled the 22nd of July on my calander.

Here is an idea, wouldn't it be cool if on the 22nd of July we all logged into this great website and posted pics of how we are honoring Howard?....or into chat to share stories of how Howard affected our lives?

Again, just ideas from a bored AG grower, but even I like my ideas...LOL

maybe more of a day commemorating the hobby as opposed to a 'holiday'? write a template and put it on here. people could print it, sign it and mail to congresspeople. canananada should try it too. each club could approach their congresspeople statewide. gpc? i'm sure paps will have to take it over. great idea owen.

I agree an International Holiday. Thank you all for your input.

I would have thought that more growers would have had ideas on how to organize something like this on an international level, but I guess I was wrong. Probably because of who it came from, not because the idea is wrong.

At any rate, I will remember the 22nd of July, 1934.
