1500.5 Revier x 1385 Jutras. Why: The 1500.5 is 985 Werner x 1207 Young. The 985 Werner grew the 1500.5 Revier and the 1207 Young grew the 1428 Revier. So the parents of the 1500.5 added up to produce 2928.5 pounds of pumpkins and the 1207 has the best of the 1068 in its family tree. The 1385 Jutras is 1068 Wallace x 998 Pukos. The 1068 Wallace grew the 1385 Jutras and the 998 Pukos grew the 1689 Jutras. So the parents of the 1385 Jutras added up to produce 3074 pounds of pumpkins and the 1385 Jutras has the best of the 998 in its family tree. Average weight produced by the grandparents of this cross (1500.5 Revier x 1385 Jutras) is 1500.5 pounds. Looks good on paper.

I like your logic Chad...sure sounds good on paper! I'm still hooked on color, it seems, so my pollinator of choice might be the 940 Mombert 00, which I may grow next year. It has produced some very nice shiney orange pumpkins with nice shape.

1566 Rodonis crossed with a 1010 Deletas. The 1566 is 1450 Wallace x 1231.3 Pukos. The 1450 is the sib of the 1068 Wallace. The 1231.3 Pukos is the reverse cross of the 998.6 Pukos. The 1010 Deletas is 998.6 Pukos x 898 Knauss. The 1068, 998.6 and 898 have been the most prolific producers of big pumpkins of any seeds out there. I am hoping to build those strains with this cross.

I'm going to be doing 425 Rebel (1009 Young x 1018 Langevin) x 900 Est Langevin (1631.5 McKie x 1689 Jutras) to give me dividends in 2010
The other is wavering about what to do with the 1018 Van Hook.... what to cross for that one... sigh. Going to be a looong winter.
