The results will be posted in the november edition of the GVGO Newsletter and then if no other changes need to be made He will probably announce the top teams around xmas I think.

If you go on the club website (gvgo.ca) I've posted the weights of the club members on the ballot that I can find. Remember, these are the weights of the biggest weighed, sound pumpkin that I could find. The problem being is that there are so many small county fairs that a pumpkin may have been weighed at that I doubt I have all the true data I need. There are too many No Weights for my liking right now and I'm sure growers may have had larger pumpkins than I listed. I've had the posting up for about a week and I've made amendments as new weights came in. I think the only fair way to do this is publish the tentative list I have made up in the November newsletter and see what new weights come back to me. I'll give it a week or so and then work out the poolies picks. I'll then figure out who won the pool. I'll let the winners know and then publish results on the club web site and then publish the results in the winter club newsletter.Sorry it's taking so long but I'm trying to be fair to every member. Not everyone can weigh their pumpkins at a GPC site but that would make life for me sooooo much easier. ;0)

Riley Sprinsock grew an 814 pounder off a 1502 Wallace, pollinated with an 845 Bobier. I would know because they were generous enough to send me some seeds from it. Thanks again Kristine and Riley.

Thanks for the heads up on Riley's pumpkin Brian. I'll amend the list. I should mention the list published in this month's club newsletter will in no way be up to date. I had to get something out to Lisa on time. A more updated list is on the club web-site that I amend almost daily as true weights come in. It would have been easier to do only GPC weighed pumpkins but I don't think the club should penalize growers for supporting their local weigh-offs. A quick scan of the entries and Bob McKenzie's line up looks good however that's because he doesn't have too many NW's (zeros) That may change as other NW's are filled in on other poolies entries. This may be close!

This was just a fun contest for GVGOers, so the prizes aren't big. GVGO will give out GVGO hats & t-shirts for the winners. Once Phil J has the list complete, we'll post the winner's list here & on the GVGO message board.
Don't forget to check out the GVGO's Annual Fundraising raffle. There will be over 200 proven seeds available to be won. Check the listing out at www.gvgo.ca & click onto the raffle page. Don't miss out on your chance to win one of today's top producing seeds.
