Geeze Brooks it's always gimme, gimme, gimme with you !
I made your "special" label, 1312+1 Bowles'08 and have a 1250 Bowles'08 already in a bbl for you. I am planting both, why? Because I believe in these crosses, follow my lead and you won't be disappointed ;-)

If color was not a factor and pure size/weight was: 1161 Rodonis 1041.5 McKie or 1385 Jutras

brooks, i will plant these 2 if both germinate and why.
#1.seed 1161 rodonis ...it weighed 11.3 heavy ...it produced 1521.5 werner that went 12.6 heavy ...the cross of the 1161 is (1231 pukos x 1450 wallace) ...the same 1450 plant that grew the 1566 rodonis that went 9.6 heavy
#2 seed 1385 jutras ... (1068 wallace x 998 pukos--plant that grew the 1689) ...fantastic first year out across the books
if both germinate, they will be crossed and on paper they are similar mirror images of each other with 845 x 898 genetics on one side of both seeds and (1420 x 1446) on the other side of both seeds.
if it can happen, i would like to cross the 1385 x 1161 and 1161 x 1385 and cross those two seeds the following year. and then after that, cross into that seed the heaviest percent over the charts pollinator, like a future 898 knauss that could possibly be a 1223 glasier or a 1185.5 daletas if it produced good seeds.

lmao Dan!!!
Hows this one for a giant killer seed!
1413 Werner ( 1556 Werner x 1385 Jutras) mother and pollinator grew pumpkins over 1400 plus pounds. 1385 is the pollinator of Quinns 1483 Werner (11% heavy) (1385 x 1207 Young)
Hows that for a seed to grow!!? mother went over 1400 and the pollinator plant went dayum near to 1500lbs? Who weeeeeeee!
Also a,,,,
985 Werner
1363 Werner (985 Werner x 1450 Wallace)
Anyone change there mind on there top 2 yet? Dan??,,lol

1. My own 779 Warren 08, which is 964 Wolf X 1092 Martin.
2. Another 964 Wolf. This a seed that should get some attention.

1556 Rodonis, 1161 Rodonis and 1010 Daletas. The Rodonis seeds produced big in 2008 and according to Bill perform well in cooler weather which I hope translates to some big ones here in Colorado. The 1010 Daletas produced one big one this year and I like the look of the 998.6 and 898 cross in it.

I guess no one likes the 998 Pukos any more, but without a doubt, one of the most consistant producers out there.
Second pic is still up in the air for me, but if I could have any seed to plant it would have to be a 723 Bobier. The chances of that are nil so I think the 1450 Wallace would be a good second choice

Yeah, the original question was, which two seeds "that you HAVE or will get..."
I'd like to plant a 998 but I don't see that happening unless one of you wants to give me one. ;-)

of course Ill have a 1161 Wild Billy seed in my patch along with his 1566, and there is just something about Dans 1312+1 seed that is calling me from his seed box,,lol!! The 1207 is going in along with a 1130 Skinner(1041 Mckie x 1402 Boz) . And Ron Wallace has a few seeds for 08' that look great on paper to grow also. But no patch is complete with out a Pukos seed, and I cant let that tradition go by the way side,
and Dick72, if you can find a ''couple 998's that someone wants to get rid of,let alone a crumb of a 998, Ill make you the honorary king of the seed finders ,lol !! ok,,so i went over my three seed limit, spray some weed killer in my eye why dont you!,,,sorry!,,lol

I don't have either seed at the time, but these are the two I would like to plant.
My first choice for an unproven seed would be the 1483 Werner. Great parents ( 1385 Jutras X 1207 Young ) and nearly 12% over the charts. A lot of promise with this seed.
For proven, I would like to have a 985 Werner. Great kids.

I tend to lean towards local seeds do better in yer own locale, so I would say...275 Van Hook,(1394 Burton dmg 07), and 323 VanHook 1216 Burton 08. Peace, Wayne PS...granted there are many on the "almost untouchables list"!!!

I like the 985 Werner (good proven seed) and the 1402.5 Bobier (723 x 1068). I like the Bobier seed because other 1068 crosses that have some 723 in the background (like the 1041 McKie or 1502 Wallace) have done well growing heavy to the charts pumpkins. I think the 1068 x 723 crosses in general have been very underplanted. Everyone out there is going to do the expected crosses with the 985, so I think I'm going to cross it with the 1402.5 Bobier.

I'm going to cross my 841 McWilliams 08 with my 689 McWilliams 06. The resulting cross will end up being 3/8 1068 Wallace, 1/4 1446 Eaton, and 1/8 of 998 Pukos, 1370 Rose and 1097.5 Beachy. I hope that with a little bit of all of these great seeds I should get something decent for 2010.

We will go with
901 Hunt/07(1093 Hunt x 898 Knauss) +19%. lost an est 1269# monster pumpkin, cut up on Aug 31st. This seed gets another chance.
One seed from either our 1156 or 1187.5 Hunt/08 (1689 & 1631.5 crossed both ways). We'll pick the stronger seedling of the two at planting time. A sure winner in our books.
One other GVGO member's seed to be determined later. We have a 998 Pukos, but we're not sure if it'll see dirt this year. Maybe next year.
