Kyle has all the results. I was to busy moving pumpkins, squash and melons around to keep track of the numbers. I do know that I won it with an 815 lb pumpkin. There where some really great first time entries however. It was a nice venue and I look forward to returning next Year.

Hi everyone! This is my first post here. My pumpkin won second place at 422 lbs. My neighbors Mary Ann and Danny, won third place at 367 lbs. John Wayne's squash got first but I can not remember how heavy it was. I was kind of disappointed in my pumpkin because it should have weighed a little heavier according to the measurements. I cut it open and the wall was only about 4 inches thick. I have sent a soil sample in and am waiting for the results. This was the first time that I have been to a weigh off. We had a lot of fun! My squash was only 197 lbs. I got a very late start on it. Thanks to Sam and the NCGVG for the seeds and to Kyle for organizing such a nice event.

Oh No! I also wanted to say that MoeJoe's pumpkin was one of the most beautiful and bright orange pumpkins that I have ever seen!

Thanks Jill for the comment on my pumpkin. For the other poster, I grew that pumkin on the 1178 Lovelace. We harvested about 500 seeds on Friday and have them drying out now. If any one would like some, email me at [email protected]. I would be happy to send you a few.
