Giant, I would say about 10 yards of manure would be good. However you can't ever have to much. Start with ten this fall and then 10 in the spring. That should do it. Holla

here's a handy calculator that will show you how many inches of manure will cover the area and how deep it will be, I caution all that prescribe to the "moron theory"

10 yards in the fall and spring in 450 sq. ft is way..... way to much and most definitely falls into the category described by Dan.
Most experienced growers, will recommend a 6 inch layer added per year. In your case for 450 sq. ft that would be 5-8 yards.
As far as the maple leaves, can't advise you there as I compost them a year in advance and add them only when broken down.

Giant,
A good "rule of thumb" is that one cubic yard of material will cover 324 square feet with one inch of that material. I hope this helps.

Before you add 20 yards of OM to the patch you may want to get some hiking gear, if you don't already have some, because you're going to have a small mountain in your patch!

Come to think of it....should a large dumptruck back up to your patch and dump 20 yards, you would have a roughly shaped trapazoid 20 ft. acrossed the bottom and 4+ feet high. Now that would be fun trying to rototill that into your patch with a front tine 5 hp tiller! ;>)

I bet ya Don Young would be able to till that 20 yds of leaves in 450 sq feet,,LOL You ever see his OM levels in his patch! 24.6% last year, and thats not counting what he has put in this year yet.
