How did the UGPG weighoff in Woods Cross Utah go today? Are there any new state records?

Hey Richard,

Gordon took first with a 1054.5 off the 998
Kenny Blair took second at 969.5 (I think)
and Andrew Israilsen took third at around 896.5

Gordon also had a 1170 dmg fruit off the 1408
and Andrew also had one around 1085 that was damaged.

This was of the top of my head, but it is pretty close to what the actual weights are

How did your pumpkin do?

Thanks,
Bryson Ensign

I haven't weighed mine yet, But I got two that we're probably gonna go weigh at the IFA pretty soon, the bigger one is estimated at 259 pounds according to the chart on pumpkinnook.com. The smaller one is estimated at 169 lbs but a wouldn't be surprised if it was well over 200, it felt like it! We'll see though. Too bad Gordon's 1170 was a dmg, that would have have been a state record!

Congratulations Gordon and Kenny Blair, those are some heavy pumpkins! I couldn't make it but I plan on going next year. The biggest pumpkin I've seen in person are my own, so I bet I'll be surprised at the size that they really are!

Congras to all of the Utah growers. It was the first weigh off I have attended. It was great to meet some of the fellow growers and talk. I will be back next year and hopefully have bigger fruit. Thanks for putting on a good show. Best of the Best.
