Now that the weigh offs are coming in and there are some bigguns (more to come next weekend). I was wondering who grew their personal best this year.
My brother and i both killed our best (both 2nd year growers with little gardens) at 314lbs and 329 lbs respectively. Much better than i thought i could get. Now i am thinking, how big could i really get? Because i make ALOT of mistakes.

Beat my PB this year by 215 pounds. Was 608, now 823.
I also took a personal best in tomato growing, taking the State of Ohio record at 4.48 pounds which is just .06 pounds greater than the record which was et last year.

I have to give a big Thank You to Tom Privitera, Don Young and Monty Wallace for helping get my patch in better shape. Also to Joe Jutras and Pap Wallace for helping me out with good seed.

Beat my personal best by 120 pounds and it is still growing my biggest is est. the 456 kirts is 160 pounds,the 464 perry is 111 pounds and 51 pounds. This has been a great year.

Last year pb 275, this year first weigh off 802.5, yesterday I beat my own personal best with 938.5, good enough for fourth place.

this was my first year growing ag seed last year i grew 104#&155#, i have no place to get them weighed but the estimates this year are 290#,357#,470#, and my first greenie at 300#

mine went from a 155 and 125 last year to a 480, 380 and a small one around 200. I can't wait till next year.

My first year results are as follows:118.5, 163.5, 210.5 and my PB is 303. I went to a local weigh-off on Saturday. It is a lower level GPC site. Very small payout. I was fortunate to have met four absolutely top notch people. Also attending the weigh-off were- Deb and Randy Sundstrom, Tom privitera and Rich Vogler who I learned lives about ten minutes from me. Rich happen to take 1st with a 966.5 I placed fifth with my 303. What really made my day was the kids category that my niece and nephew took first and second with the 118.5 and the 163.5
This was my first weigh-off and besides the crazy "Can't leave until five o'clock rule" I had a good time shooting the breeze with all the other growers. As I said before, I met some top notch people. Even if they were not growers they would be top notch. Deb is a trip.

1990, 70# Big Max... 2008, 211.4# on a bet and a seedsaver store seed, then 425#, on 1009 Young (aka good seed) :)

The PB weighed more than I did and with the tomato crop to judge by (aka pbbbht) I did phenomenonally. Lots of Big Sluggers have put up with me on here to which I'm eternally grateful.... Thanks Everyone.

Yeah, already living in '09 growing season. Patchwork Ho!
