Eddy, hows the 705 Stelts doing? I been curious about how that pumpkin was gonna do even before ya planted the seed. Looks like it started off good for ya. Hope its still putting on the pounds for you Ole Bud.
A lot of great ''old'' seeds planted this year ,Andy Wolfe has also planted a few old time greats.

Brooks, we're doing just great, 3 pumpkins set on the 705, largest is taping 900 ish, crossed with the 898 knauss, Second fruit on a left side vine, taping 450 lbs, is crossed with the 1420 Larue, and the 3rd, sitting around 400 is a selfed 705. It was a very agessive plant, and I cant' wait to try the 705 X 898 knauss. Andy sure enough did some old crosses, glad he got the 935 lloyd to germinate.

Great crosses Eddy! be interesting to see how the 705x1420 does, the 1420 is a great pollinator, one of the best in my opinion.

I also did the reverse of the 705 X 1420, And have hopes for that. As far as the 1420, I also pollinated an 842 Eaton with it. The 842 Eaton I planted, was pollinated on the 21st of July, So I went with 5 fruit on it, they are 842x 1420 at 450 lbs, 842 X 898 Knauss at 400 lbs 842 X 1420 Larue at 400 lbs, 842 X 705 Stelts, and 842 X 1010 Daletas at 350 lbs, Which puts the 842 at 2000 lbs of Fruit, and the 705 Stelts is very close to that, I also have 3 fruit on the 898 knauss with the biggest at 750 lbs and the smallest at 300. so another 1500 lbs, Sure wish the spring would have been nicer,
