Just curious, when all you guys have carved/taken the seeds out of your giant pumpkins, what do you do with the pumpkins after halloween?
let them decay in patch? blow them up in the street?

If you have a x wife, take it to her house and drop it off in her drive way

I'm going to cut a hole in the top of it like a kayak and put it in a like and paddle it around like a boat. After that I'll compost it. Worms love the pumpkins.

Chunk, bag, dumpser, and landfill. I asked city hall and have permission as long as I don't put more than about 60# per bag and no more than 300# per dumpster. There's five dumpsters along our street so that gets rid of ONE in a good year... but. I will have to spread it out amongst them this year...

We would love to carve ours and display it in the front yard but we don't want to attract the local punks and their baseball bats. Darn kids nowadays...
We chunk ours and put them out in the woods for the deer or the chickens.

my thought is that they go back into the patch to replenish what they took from the soil. I have over 1000 lbs of pumpkins from my 500 sq ft of patch, so that has to be a lot of nutrients!!!

last year the pumpkins went out to bear country for the bears to eat before going to rest for the winter, this year i will and have taken them out for the deer to eat.
