happened about two weeks ago. i sprayed insulation foam after finding. pumpkn still grew even though the split went into cavity. plant still alive and pumpkin very slow to grow but seems normal for its age. i was wondering if the split happened much earlier in the season, would it be possible to control a split and eventually heal? the insulation foam is very air tight and the blossom end of my pumpkin has not rotted but actually kind of healed around foam. anyone ever saved their pumpkin or have similar stories?

not sure anyones successfully saved a pumpkin with a split that went into the cavity, they usually rot on the inside. how long was it open?
