About a week ago I cut two fruit off to give a little surge to a couple of stragglers that showed up. I have decided to put one to use this weekend. Saturday I have a golf outing that I have been putting together for the Quality Deer Management Association of Sullivan & Orange Counties in NY. We have decided to Have a guess the pumpkin weight contest. Since we are trying to raise funds to put toward our educational seminars and habitat improvement programs, we are selling Tickets with a number on them ranging from 50 to 400. $2.00 a guess, WINNER TAKES ALL! I just need to make sure nobody hacks a tee shot on the first tee and puts a top-flite right through my pumpkin.

Took the guess pumpkin to get weighed today. It taped 210" which according to the chart weighs 210# The scale @ the transfer station came up with 160# Way off. Almost 25% light. Could that be possible or should I have my county division of weights and measures check their own scale. It is a drive on scale so we backed up to it and set the pumpkin down on it. The scale operator told me they can weigh as little as 20#. It sure felt like more than 160#
