Pumpkin Trivia,,,,Anyone know the color of the seeds that 'GREW' the last 10 or so world records pumpkins?
Id like to see the comparison in what color seed grew the most world records, tan seeds verses white seeds.

Second part Question,I know everyone likes there own preference of what color seed they would rather grow, and I like growing the bigger, thicker, tan seeds that have some meat on them, seems like these type seeds grows bigger pumpkins for me.
So,What type seeds do you like growing?

well, I like em all, but have a fondness for the thick tan ones also,
i always seem to have a bit of trouble gettin the white ones to germinate,
but i'm not giving up on em yet :)

If I am growing for good color, I like the white seeds. It seems that a lot of the ones that produce nice orange pumpkins are white.

Brooks, good to see you posting. I have two pumpkins out in the patch, one grown on a small white seed, the other on a beefy brown seed. The brown seed, is growing the bigger pumpkin. Weigh off time will tell if the measurements are right.

I just lost a beautiful bright orange one. It went down in the storm after Ike's run through here.
Not many seeds, but they are pure white.
