I decide to let two more grow on my prize winner hybrid plants from the home depot seeds about two weeks ago. I had tossed the idea of cutting off the existing two to put more energy to the new ones. I did this over a three day period of small cuts. Saturday I finally removed them from the patch and put them in a dark cool closet in my garage. One weighed in at 212# The other 160#. I am pleased with that so far for my first year. I have two that are quite bigger, but I am waiting to surprise myself another week or so. Thanks to all who have given me tips and advice to make my rookie season a success. A huge thanks to pap. You are a scholar and a gentleman!

Great job Nick, looking forward to hearing what the bigger one weighs. Are you taking it to a weigh-off?

not sure. The closest one to me is cooperstown. If I get done with the job I am starting next week, I will be @ cooperstown. If not, I will just mark it down for a PB and beat it next year. Basically the weather is not only determining the outcome of my pumpkins, but also the outcome of my bank account. I amm getting ready to start a 33 square roof tomorrow on an OLD house! You guessed it! OLD house=new problems! If I do not get to meet any of you this year, I hope that you have all done well. I also hope that someone breaks the WR.
