I have a barrel shaped pumpkin which makes the s-s measure reasonably uniform from stem end to the blossom end. The f-b measure ends up taking on a rectangular shape rather than the normal semi-circle and the circ is just a normal circ.
Question - do barrel shaped pumpkins tend to weigh more or less against the OTT tables? I know and have experience with high round shapes coming in light.
Thanks Jim

I'm surprised no one has responded. I wonder the same thing. My pumpkin has been within a half inch side to side as it has been stem to blossom all summer so it is easy for me, but what about the odd shaped pumpkins. I know all that matters is when it hits the scales but it's still nice to have some idea on the weight as it grows. I guess if its convex you add weight and if its concave you reduce the estimate.

Square kins tend to be heavy to the charts....what color is it...white ones with cantoloping with green in the ribs should be real heavy....mine went 150lbs heavy last year...
