Subject: fixing a blosom split

notice this morning i had what appeared to be the start of a split it had a clear gel ozzing out of it on the blosom end the split wasnt open was just a brown line .I cleaned of the goo dried it up an put a fan on it .....is there anything else i can do to try an save my pumpkin? is ozzing normal ? thx alot in advance for any help u can offer

Make sure it stays dry at all times, paint some straight Daconil on it, and put Captan on after that dries. You should be fine.

put a fan on it to keep it dry.I had the same problem last year and the fan kept it dry.Hope it holds out for you.twinnie

As long as it doesn't open up to the cavity you should be OK.

its rare to blow a blossom this late in the season. the sapping is normal on a fruit at this stage. just dont let the soil dry out because should it rain on top of dry soil a growth spurt could do it in. pap
